Theosom Chronicles is a collection of fictional documents (stories, poems, letters, and images) that illustrate the adventures of intrepid explorers discovering the strange ecologies of hidden worlds connected to our own. It is still very much a work in progress. 

I created this website as part of an interactive exhibit where I was invited to display  an Artist Book alongside other Cape Cod artists. My artist book is a curated collection of ideas and process images for Theosom Chronicles, and this site is a place to stash snippets of scenes featured in the book.

My name is Angela Tanner, and I am an artist and landscape architect living on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where I  spend my days attempting to blur lines between built and natural worlds through restorative landscape design. But in the slivers of time between daylight and sleep, I explore other realms through photography, illustration, and storytelling. 

Image-making is a critical part of my creative process, as it either gives shape to murky ideas or inspires new ones. Using a combination of mixed media, I first create drawings by hand, often collaging them digitally with other pieces.  I'm also partial to working with wire and found objects, and some of those things have found their way into my stories as well.
